TONY BAUMGARTNER, Chief Executive Officer

Tony Baumgartner joined BBNR Solutions Management following a thirty-four year career with the Saskatchewan public service. His career included over 20 years service and a wide variety of assignments within the province’s natural resources sector followed by fourteen years in the economic development portfolio. This included a seven year stint as Vice President, Sector Development and Investment Attraction in Enterprise Saskatchewan, the province’s lead economic development agency. In this capacity, Tony’s experiences include working with some of Saskatchewan’s largest businesses, representing the province in discussions involving corporate investment and expansion plans, troubleshooting problems and expediting government responses to address complex business problems. Tony also had several years leadership experience in the private sector before joining government.
Tony has had the opportunity to lead and participate in many projects and significant initiatives over the course of a long career. Some of these have included: provincial wood supply reallocation initiatives, negotiation of Forest Management Agreements with major forest industry, Saskatchewan representative on negotiations with the United States regarding softwood lumber trade, forest nursery decommissioning and sale, negotiation of Saskatchewan’s first forest carbon sequestration contract. In the economic development sphere, Tony was also responsible for the design and build of Saskatchewan’s international investment attraction initiative in which Saskatchewan’s desirability as a place to invest is promoted around the world.
Areas of particular expertise include: strategic planning and leadership, organizational design and build, change management, business problem identification and planning, and economic development.
Tony holds both, a Bachelor of Administration degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Regina.

CARL N. NEGGERS, Senior Business Consultant

Carl brings over 30 years of strategic and sustainable management consulting experience to the BBNR Solutions team. He has worked with federal and various provincial ministries, the hospitality industry, dental practices, accounting firms, professional sports franchises, small and medium sized businesses and environmental service companies helping to restructure and streamline their practices towards a more self-reliant, sustainable and profitable future.
Prior to this, Carl was the Director General of the federal government's Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA). Serving western Canada, PFRA is an internationally recognized agency, which addresses the sustainable resource and economic development challenges faced by agriculture and rural Canadians.
Carl also served as Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Agri-Food Equity Fund, working with entrepreneurs in the development and commercialization of their innovative products and services. As Assistant Deputy Minister of Saskatchewan’s Department of Highways and Transportation, Carl led the development of the provincial submission to the comprehensive review of the Canada Transportation Act (CTA), including a position on transportation infrastructure financing.

DR. LAWRENCE REIMER, DMD

Dr. Reimer graduated from the College of Dentistry, University of Saskatchewan in 1989. Since graduating, he has practiced General Dentistry in Swift Current. Prior to graduating from the College of Dentistry, Dr. Reimer has obtained a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology BSc.[MLT] 1974, Honors Certificate in Science [Microbiology] 1977and Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy [B.S.P.] 1980. He practiced as a pharmacist for nine years until graduating from Dental School.
Dr. Reimer has volunteered over a period of 25 years serving the needy in countries such as Honduras, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Ghana, and most recently, Haiti. He also visited China in 2010 as a Dental Ambassador with the American Dental Association. For his volunteer service he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the College of Dentistry in 2011. He has also served a term on council with the College of Dental Surgeons. Presently he is on the Board of Directors for a non-profit organization, Turning Leaf Services, located in Winnipeg, Man., which serves the underprivileged who do not fit the normal institutional requirements.
On a personal basis Dr. Reimer has a wife of 37 years, Cindy, with three grown children and two granddaughters, and one four pound grand-dog, Ace. He enjoys farming and yard maintenance, collecting and restoring classic cars, trucks and tractors as well as roasting coffee as a hobby. As a backup there is always the cabin at Lac Pelltier with a sunroom and a couch in the shade.
